Coronavirus emergency, the solidarity of Rossi Group

GCF-Covid-19 subscription

GCF and Gefer support Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli.

It is an unprecedented emergency. Everybody must take action”. Edoardo Rossi, President of Rossi Group, takes action with his construction companies operating in the railway sector, to support initiatives focused on the fight of Covid-19 health emergency. And asks for the support, as a solidarity marathon, of GCF’s and Gefer’s employees and also the entire chain of suppliers, collaborators, professionals and companies working for the Group.

A significant donation of 300,000 Euros was already devolved by Rossi Group to Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli which also includes Presidio Columbus, transformed by Lazio region in Regional Covid Hospital to support Spallanzani Hospital and help in the regional health challenge against the pandemic.

And not only. President Rossi wanted to engage all the people working for GCF and Gefer in quality of workers, executives, managers and others like professionals, consultants, suppliers working for the Group, in effort to provide a direct and cohesive joint help.

For this reason, they opened up a subscription that in the next few days, will focus on collecting additional funds to destine to the doctors and patients of Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli with the aim to support the great efforts implemented to set up the new Columbus Covid-2 Hospital with 59 ICT beds and 80 single beds, ready to welcome and treat patients suffering from Coronavirus.

However, these efforts would be insufficient without everybody’s support, as stated a few days ago by the Management of Policlinico Gemelli, which appealed to solidarity: “We urgently need significant volumes of personal protection measures like surgical masks, filtering masks FFP2 and FFP3, Tyvek suits, safety glasses, ventilation systems. This equipment is highly consumed in our Hospital and at Columbus, and we need it urgently for our patients. As we need any sort of support to face the costs of the equipment, increase the number of beds, qualified nurses and doctors”.

Rossi Group has the answer. “For a production company like ours - underscores Edoardo Rossi - which has been working for seventy years in building railway connections to join places and people and maintained a family-oriented business and management, it is not only an ethic duty but also an instinct to try to connect the propension to solidarity of our people with the generous, tireless work of the medical staff and measures implemented in Rome as all over the Country for everybody’s health. I am certain that everybody will put something of their own at this difficult time”.

The solidarity marathon will run for three weeks. From Monday March 23rd, you can make a donation on the dedicated bank account GCF at the Deutsche Bank IT89V0310403223000000820148, indicating reason “GCF Covid-19”.
From March 31st, every Tuesday, the amount collected during the week will be devolved to Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli.
