Covid-19: “Gemelli” says Thank You

The collection of funds continues among GCF’s employees and companies.
«I’m so moved by your efforts: it’s so true that sea is made by little drops and this additional aid by your employees and suppliers shows appreciation and support for the work we are doing». Dr. Annia Lucina Della Penna coordinates the donations for Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli.
Tuesday, on the phone, in the name of all operators of Gemelli and Columbus Covid 2 Hospitals, she thanks, deeply moved, GCF and all those – employees, suppliers, consultants and partners- who adhered to the initiative launched last week, to support the widespread unanimous efforts in fighting the Coronavirus: «We – states deeply moved – wish to truly thank you with our hearts. For your precious economic support and above all, because we feel your affection and proximity. For us, it’s extremely important not to feel alone at this difficult time».
As of today, we collected 326,680 Euros. Gemelli Hospital used this money to increase the treatment capacity in its structures: from March 30th, all 80 hospitalization beds and 59 beds for intensive therapy are available at Columbus, in addition to those in the Covid and ICT departments of Gemelli Hospital.
«In addition to my personal appreciation – Dr. Giovanni Raimondi, President of Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli wrote to Edoardo Rossi – I also thank you on behalf of all those doctors, nurses, medical operators and researchers of this Foundation that are at the forefront to fight the Coronavirus in the city of Rome and in our Region».
Statements of appreciation that come from the solidarity efforts made by many of those who work for Rossi Group and that, for this reason, President Edoardo Rossi intends to convey to all those who already signed and will sign the initiative.
The “solidarity marathon” launched last week by GCF continues.
«The Hospital would like to equip the hospitalization departments - explains Dr. Della Penna - with sanitized tablets: patients with COVID are totally isolated at the hospital and we would like to give them Tablets to communicate with their families and keep in contact with the outside world».
Moreover, the collected funds will support COVID 19 Research Centre to develop effective drugs against the virus, financing basic research funds and for consumables (reactants for diagnostic tests or specific laboratory activities).
We send this message by Catia Garzia (Saga srl) for the subscriptions gathered during the week, to each of the operators of Gemelli and Columbus hospitals: «Hoping that the help of each of us can be a concrete gesture to increase the availability of beds and safety equipment and also a sign of appreciation for all the medical staff, a virtual hug to let them know they are not alone, a caress for when they are tired and exhausted by the endless work shifts and that all of this may be useful for each of us in order to respect the rules».
Let’s do it with the heart.
The solidarity marathon continues. You can make a donation on the dedicated bank account GCF at the Deutsche Bank IT89V0310403223000000820148, indicating reason “GCF Covid-19”.
Every Tuesday, the amount collected during the week will be devolved to Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli.
