A placement of over 91%, 17 editions so far, over 460 Master graduates absorbed in the top railway companies of the country.
The University Master of second level in Engineering and Infrastructures of Railway System returns also this year, with this “business card”.

The University of Rome “La Sapienza” organises it in collaboration with Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato italiane and the best companies of the railway sector that, as GCF, have always been supporting it by offering 3,000 Euros scholarships to the first 20 candidates admitted to the Master and 2,500 Euros scholarships to the remaining 15 participants.

The Master is destined to 2nd level graduates in Engineering, in the degree classes indicated in the Registration, with preferential title for skills in electric, electronic engineering, computer science, mechanics, safety and transports..

The scope is to offer a training course aimed at multi-disciplinary perfectioning in the sector of transports and mobility, in order to integrate engineering, economic and legal aspects useful to work on programming, planning, operation and maintenance of railway systems.
Indeed, the integrative approach with companies that support it, as the results in terms of job opportunities offered to students, are at the base and training efficacy of the University Master and growing interest in the training course, with over 200 applications presented in the last 5 editions.

Information on the University Master

The Master requires a full-time commitment for 7 months, from February to June 2022 for lectures, team works and educational visits, from July to September for internship activities at companies; while the final test, with discussion of the project elaborated during the internship, is scheduled for October 2022.

The 18th edition of the Master is also destined to 2nd level graduates in engineering, with preferential -but not exclusive- title for skills in electric, electronic engineering, computer science, mechanics, safety and transports and also other degree classes: aerospace engineering and astronautics, biomedicine, chemistry, civil and construction engineering, automation, telecommunication, nuclear energy, management, naval engineering and engineering for the environment and territory.

The study course of 60 credits is articulated in 12 teaching modules for a total of 480 hours of lecture – held by the teachers of the University and Managers of partner companies – among lectures (in person and/or remote, in Italian and/or English), seminars, project works, visits to construction sites and plants. 250 hours of internship at partner companies are also foreseen. Lectures will begin on 23rd February 2022.
The topics dealt are varied: principles of railway techniques and economics, VIA and fixed systems, traction and dynamic systems of vehicles, design of the infrastructure, circulation technique, management of railway safety, planning and quality of the service, programming and legislation of railway works, passenger and freight terminals, transport of freight and logistics, evaluation of the activities and environmental impact. Enterprise culture.

Maximum 35 students will be admitted to the master, selected according to the evaluation of the titles held and an admission test aimed at verifying the technical knowledge, language (English) skills and psycho-aptitude abilities.

The registration fee is 3,000 Euros. Partner companies offer 3,000 Euros scholarships to the first 20 candidates admitted to the Master and 2,500 Euros scholarships to the remaining 15 participants.
