Scholarships for the first 15 admitted

Open enrolment, until 6 p.m. Jan. 16th, for the 2023 edition of the 2nd-level university master's degree program in Railway Infrastructure and Systems Engineering.
Now in its 19th edition, the Master's degree is organized by "La Sapienza" University of Rome in collaboration with Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato italiane and major companies in the railway sector, which, like GCF, have always supported it.

The educational path proposed by the Master's degree aims at achieving multidisciplinary specialization in the field of rail transport and overall mobility, in order to integrate engineering, economic and legal aspects useful to work on the planning, design, operation and maintenance of railway systems.

In particular, the Master's degree aims to enable participants to acquire knowledge that can potentially be spent to meet the needs of administrations, railway companies, engineering companies, research centres, and companies and industries operating in the sector. The ultimate goal is to provide participants with the tools to acquire a systemic vision of the rail transport sector and of the entire mobility, through a multidisciplinary scientific specialization, which has integrated mainly the engineering aspects, but also the legal and economic ones, underlying the planning, design, operation and maintenance of transport systems.

The effectiveness of the approach of strong integration with the companies that support the Master's program is testified by the consistently high interest in this educational proposal and the results in terms of job opportunities offered to the Students: in the 18 editions completed so far, about 500 Graduates of the Master's program have been placed in the Companies that support it, for a placement of more than 91%.

The Master's program is intended for Level II graduates in Engineering, in the degree classes listed in the Announcement (with preference given to skills in electrical, electronic, computer, mechanical, safety and transportation engineering.

Selection for admission to the Master's program will be based on the evaluation of candidates' qualifications and an entrance test, aimed at verifying their technical knowledge, language (English) and psycho-aptitude skills. A maximum of 35 students will be admitted to the Master's program.

The registration fee is €3,000.00. Partner companies will provide scholarships of € 2,000.00 gross to the first 15 candidates admitted to the Master's program who have been resident outside the Lazio region for at least 6 months.

The Master requires a full-time commitment for 7 months, from February to June 2023 for lectures, group work and didactic visits, from July to September for the internship activity in the Company; while the final exam, with discussion of the project developed during the internship period, is scheduled for October 2023.
