Master Engineers 2024 kicks off

Enrolment open until January 31th
Last days for enrolment - extended from 15 to 31 January - in the 2nd Level University Master's Degree Course in Railway Infrastructure and Systems Engineering proposed by La Sapienza University of Rome also for 2024 with the collaboration of major companies in the railway sector.
The Master's program proposes a training course aimed at multidisciplinary scientific specialisation in the field of railway transport and overall mobility, in order to enable participants to acquire knowledge that can potentially be used to meet the needs of administrations, railway companies, engineering firms, research centres and companies and industries operating in the sector.
It is intended for second-level graduates in Engineering, in the degree classes listed in the Master's Course Plan attached to the Single Announcement. Graduates who have graduated by the end of the academic year 2022/2023 may also apply for admission.
It is possible to submit an application for admission to the Master's degree until midnight on 31 January 2024, using the online application form.
The selection process for admission to the Master's Course will be based on the evaluation of the candidates' qualifications and on an entrance test, aimed at assessing their technical, linguistic (English) and psycho-aptitude skills. A maximum number of 30 students will be admitted to the Master's course.
The registration fee for the Master is € 3,000.00. The partner companies provide scholarships of € 3,000.00 gross to the first 15 candidates admitted to the Master's course, who will attend at least 75% of the course teaching hours in the classroom.
The Master requires a full-time commitment for 7 months, from February to June 2024 for lectures, group work and educational visits, from July to September for the internship activity in companies; the final exam, with discussion of the project developed during the internship period, is scheduled for October 2024.
Organised in collaboration with the most important companies in the railway sector, the Master includes among its partners, besides For.Fer, the Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Almaviva, Alstom Ferroviaria, BPS Deployment, ETS, Ferrotramviaria Engineering, Generale Costruzioni Ferroviarie, Hitachi Rail STS, IDOM, Salcef, Siemens Mobility and ZF Italia.
The effectiveness of the approach of strong integration with the companies supporting the Master is testified by the consistently high interest in this training proposal and by the results in terms of job opportunities offered to students (in the 18 editions completed to date, about 500 Master's graduates have been placed in the companies supporting it, for a placement of over 91%).
Due to the direct commitment of the companies that have joined it, both with scholarships and with participation in teaching and the provision of internships, the Master's Course represents an important opportunity to specialise and gain access to excellent training before entering the world of rail transport.
