etmftransport.fr

The company ETMF specializes in operating work and freight trains throughout France.

In June 2012, ETMF launched its train traction activities for the Transalp Renouvellement high-output track renewal program. In June 2013, ETMF became the first railway undertaking operationally capable of independently operating work trains.
Since then, the company has diversified its activities across all train service segments, serving both infrastructure and freight sectors.

Today, ETMF employs 75 train drivers and ground staff, operates 18 modern 3,000 hp locomotives and leases an additional 10 locomotives.

Areas of Activity

ETMF is now recognized for its expertise and willingness to meet the needs of its customers. It provides traction on SNCF's Suites Rapides trains and related construction sites thanks to the availability of its own medium and high-power locomotives and internally trained or externally recruited train drivers based on their experience.

Among the main activities carried out for customers:

  • Traction of work trains between the operational base and railway worksites
  • Relocation or assisted driving of trains and self-propelled railway vehicles
  • Train shunting and preparation
  • Traction or operation of spot freight trains

Competence and reliability

The trust of our clients and partners is based on compliance with a set of conduct rules that ETMF undertakes to respect.
Our mission is to drive work trains safely, punctually and regularly across the entire network, based on 5 values:

  • Security
  • The skills
  • The commitment
  • Responsiveness
  • Team spirit

CSR Approach

ETMF has committed itself to a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach in order to contribute more effectively to today's and tomorrow's social, societal and environmental challenges.
This voluntary and collective commitment is part of a continuous improvement process aimed at adopting more sustainable practices and better meeting stakeholder expectations.

Within this framework, ETMF relies on the ISO 26000 standard and is strongly committed to contributing primarily to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
These objectives guide ETMF every day towards more responsible and resource-efficient practices and reflect the company's purpose: contributing to the renewal of rail transport.

As a result, we are proud to announce that ETMF received the EcoVadis 2023 certification with a score placing the company in the 83rd percentile. This certification provides a significant competitive advantage, offering greater CSR transparency, an enhanced corporate reputation and the opportunity to promote a sustainable supply chain.
