Gefer, a related company of the Rossi Group headquartered in Rome, was established in 1947 as the sole proprietorship Attilio Rossi, later becoming SO.GE.FER. S.r.l. and finally, in October 1989, GEFER S.p.A.
Over all these decades – in close synergy with GCF – it has always operated in the railway track sector, following and implementing its technological evolution, innovating operational methods, and operating with a quality management system compliant with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015.
Activities of Gefer S.p.A.
Railway trackwork today constitutes the core business of Gefer which, thanks to the experience gained in the field, is a point of reference for Italian State Railways and foreign ones for construction projects – including high-speed lines – in renewals and rehabilitation, in maintenance lots, in the renewal and construction of switches of any length and tangency.
In recent years, strong investments in machinery and human resources have allowed Gefer to present itself as a specialized reference in the segment of Operating System Maintenance.
In the Gefer plant in Novi Ligure, qualified personnel, equipped with experience and specific skills, operates in service of the vast machine fleet of the Rossi Group, guaranteeing maximum efficiency and productivity.
