Sveco S.p.A. operates in the field of infrastructure engineering, with particular regard to the design, construction, maintenance and functional recovery of structures, special underground works and tunnels forming part of road and railway infrastructure, hydraulic arrangement works and services for the control of invasive vegetation.

A bit of history

The company was founded in 1995 as a limited liability company and then transformed into a joint-stock company in 2015; in 2025, by virtue of the experience gained in the construction sector and, in particular, in structural design and execution of works in the railway and road sector, it was acquired by GCF - Generale Costruzioni Ferroviarie and became part of the Group.

Main competences

Sveco S.p.A. is able to operate with maximum guarantee and high quality standards, among others, in the activities of design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure works, with particular reference to railway infrastructure maintenance systems, road bodies, bridges and tunnels also in the presence of railway operation, as well as slope stabilization and hydraulic works.

In particular, the Company has developed its know-how in the design, execution and maintenance of civil works, road and railway bridges, buildings and related systems, retaining works, consolidation of landslide slopes, construction of rockfall barriers and cortical lining of rock faces, restoration of the static functionality of civil structures, construction of micropiles, foundations and anchors, construction of noise mitigation works.

Sveco S.p.A. holds certifications, qualifications and authorisations that enable it to participate in tenders issued by RFI and to be included in subcontractor shortlists by operators participating in tenders for which there is no limit on the qualification category.
