Welding machines
9 Plasser and Vaia radio-electric welding machines.
The best machines available on the market, capable of work on tracks and/or road rails. They produce welds which improve the geometric stability of the track structure without giving rise to points of fragility that the change in metallurgical properties of the rail near the welds otherwise tends to entail.
Vaiacar SparkRail
Perfect everywhere
The Vaiacar SparkRail road-rail welding machine, used for spark welding, is characterized by compact dimensions, versatility, ease of use and high performance.
Movement
Hydrostatic type with all-wheel drive on 4 drive wheels. Differential axles with planetary gear group. On-road speed in both driving directions 35 Km/h, speed on tracks in both directions 47 Km/h. When loaded on freight wagons, it is within international outline limits.
Self-positioning on road or rail
Through suitable handling of front and rear support stabilisers, the machine easily self-positions itself from road to railway lines and vice versa.
Driving cab
The cab has three positions with swivel driver seat, broad visibility with athermic windscreens, soundproof; equipped with ventilation and heating systems.
Welding head
K355 type - rated capacity: 150 KVA - voltage: 380 Volts - frequency: 50 Hz - rated primary circuit current: 395 A - rated welding current intensity: 20,000 A - Max cross-section of rails to be welded: 10,000 mm2.
Mass of welding head: approx. 2,600 Kg.
