GCF confirmed among the “Excellences”

GCF among Italy’s 124 excellences

Among the 124 companies selected by the Industria Felix Award

Thanks to the absolute objectivity of the criteria on which it is based, it is the most coveted recognition among Italian companies.
Once again, at its 6th national edition, the Industria Felix Award has bestowed upon GCF – Generale Costruzioni Ferroviarie the recognition of “Italy’s most competitive company”, an honour shared with only 123 other companies.

The award ceremony, held on Thursday 11 December, brought together at Palazzo Mezzanotte in Piazza Affari, Milan, 124 leading Italian entrepreneurs and managers whose companies were selected - based on an incontrovertible financial statement algorithm - as managerially competitive and financially reliable according to the Cerved Group Score.

Accepting the award on behalf of GCF – Generale Costruzioni Ferroviarie S.p.A. was the Managing Director, Dr Donato Maria Pezzuto, who, as he did last year, underlined how the prize represents an important recognition of the high service standards that GCF continues to guarantee, also thanks to “the implementation of increasingly stringent internal controls within a context of overall continuity in corporate management and the Group’s industrial policies”.

The overall results of the journalistic survey conducted by Industria Felix Magazine in collaboration with Cerved highlighted, in the 2025 edition, a growing South, a North that remains the driving force of the country in absolute terms, and a stable Centre. The most awarded region was Campania, with as many as 25 companies, while the leading province in Italy was Milan, which alone saw 12 companies take the stage.
As for the production sectors, a total of eight companies, including GCF, received the excellence award in the “Construction and Building” sector.

During the ceremony, two captains of industry who passed away during the year and who contributed to enhancing Italy’s value worldwide were remembered: Giorgio Armani and Ernesto Pellegrini. A Special Mention of Merit was awarded in their honour, presented to Pellegrini S.p.A. through his daughter Valentina, Chairwoman and CEO of the company (which was also among the awarded firms).

The event was organised by Industria Felix Magazine in collaboration with Cerved and A.C. Industria Felix, with media partnership by Askanews and partnerships with Banca Mediolanum, Mediolanum Private Banking, ELITE, M&L Consulting Group and EpyonVivida.
Given the high attendance, the ceremony was divided into two sessions hosted by journalists Maria Soave (TG1) and Gianmarco Sansobrino (special correspondent for Dentro la Notizia on Canale 5).

Entrepreneurs and managers from the 124 awarded companies attended, along with numerous guests, including members of the Industria Felix Scientific Committee, representatives from academia, finance and industry, and partners of the event.
