GCF resumes the railway works suspended for the lockdown
GCF’s French “Suite Rapide” sites resume works at full pace after being suspended on March 16th by the lockdown due to Coronavirus. It’s been a few days that the workers and technicians operating on Lots 2 and 3 assigned to Transalp Renouvellement- association of companies led by Generale Costruzioni Ferroviarie- returned to the tracks, resuming their technical tasks in compliance with the new procedures developed to ensure health protection.
The base tunnel in operation since 13th December 2020.
Positive results for the tests run at Ceneri base Tunnel. As notified by client AlpTransit San Gottardo SA (ATG) during the night between April 30th and May 1st, the special measurement train used for testing run through the two lanes of the tunnel reaching 275 km /hour, “certifying” the technical quality of the railway line.
The railway construction sites are now open, under safety measures.
GCF’s and Gefer’s opened their construction sites all over Italy, after the works were suspended due to the Coronavirus. After one week from the end of the lockdown, all the activities of Rossi Group in the railway installing, electrification, signalling and optic fibre sectors have resumed. Focus is now shifted to production and health protection.
465,000 Euros donated from GCF’s subscription.
Fifth week for the solidarity marathon launched by Rossi Group in favour of Policlinico Gemelli. The subscription among employees and suppliers of the Group’s railway companies, GCF and Gefer, allowed collecting 465,000 Euros as of today. This sum will allow Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli to purchase the technological equipment of the new ward of pneumological sub-intensive therapy dedicated to Covid patients.
The collection of funds continues among GCF’s employees and companies.
