A new ET system and a new look for the bridge over the lagoon
A new look for the Mestre - Venice S. Lucia bridge over the lagoon. GCF has just finished installing the new innovative gantries which not only support a completely new, more efficient overhead contact line, but also give a new sober, modern look to the bridge that leads to the most famous city of art in the world.
Rabat-Agdal: inauguration of the station for modernity
Official inauguration of Rabat-Agdal Railway Station. His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, two days after the launch of the first high-speed train in the African continent, wished to celebrate the amazing new railway station of the Moroccan capital formally and personally by inviting the companies chosen by ONCF (Moroccan railways) to implement the project: Moroccan company TGCC (civil works) and the Generale Costruzioni Ferroviarie (entire range of technological works).
Renewal work is in full swing for the last work sites in 2018
Another 160 kilometres of renewal work for the last two GCF work sites in France. Work on the fifth work site for 2018 has begun over the last few days in both Lots 2 and 3 of the TransalpRenouvellement consortium. It is now in full swing and involves two powerful Suite Rapide convoys recently boosted by the purchase of high performing trains and machinery.
The innovative system developed by GCF together with the Sapienza University of Rome and Milan Polytechnic
Recently unveiled at Innotrans in Berlin, it aroused a great deal of general interest. Visitors to the trade fair were impressed by the fact that the Dynamic Weighting System, which is used to measure railway track loads and has been developed by the GCF R&D Department with collaboration from the Sapienza University of Rome and Milan Polytechnic, is accurate and reliable as well as lightweight, versatile and easy to install.
GCF consolidates 15th place, ranking first among specialist companies
